So now I associate most of the songs from Nicolay and Kay’s Time Line album with Michigan. Specifically the Detroit/Warren area. Great.

Life is not fun right now. Barely enjoyable, if even that. And hasn’t been fun for the better part of these past four and a half years. It’s just been bearable as I hold out...

It’s hard to be motivated to do a job that you are doing to just do. And what makes it even especially bad is when you have zero steak or interest in anything pertaining to what it is you’re doing to just do. So it’s like that saying of “pissing into the wind”… if you do a great job at pissing into the wind, what is your prize?

Currently my issue is that I am seeing clips of my history, child hood and where I came from but I need that all to register as motivation to adhear to the “School is my job” policy. What I know about my past is enough that I want to avoid some things totally so it should all together be enough to make me swallow the bullets know as school… right?

My university is the BULL SHIT CAPITAL OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I PROMISE YOU THAT.
And you will find that the on-campus leader in BULL SHIT is the very school I am in.
So now you know all I deal with primarily is BULL SHIT. GARBAGE. TRASH. ETC.
Why do I say this?
Because I hate my job with a passion beyond even the infinite grips of even my own imagination.

Ashley: people just go to school as a past time cuz they live in town and have kids at 15 and so the non-completion rate is 90%
Me: wow really, as a past time? a hobby tho ?
Me: then they run out of money.
Ashley: when you start at the dorms you know you're there for school, not for "real life," so when you transition away senior year youre already in school mode still and are close to finishing
Ashley: no, they dont take school seriously, as their main objective
Me: yeah me neither. i know i need to complete but i dont like the idea of it swallowing me whole so i never accept the idea that i should be studying like its my job. this is why i no longer have a 3.0+

Me: I dont want to. i absolutely hate the idea i am studying like a job

I just had a very interesting and reveling conversation with Ashley today. The day of my first official “bombed” assignment of the quarter. Within the quarter I have marked to be a quarter of improvement. Wherein I have to see any improvement.

I don’t ask for much but I get nothing at all things that I really don’t need/shouldn’t be looking for in the first place — I get bandages for wounds I need stitched closed.
And it’s all my own fault and I’m struggling with how to change for the better.

Moreover, it is the official graduation year of my initial engineering class…. and pretty much most of the people I associated with. So what are we doing special this year ?
